About the Studio
Dustin Wilson, operator of DW Taxidermy, began taxidermy in 2017 with a vision to pursue it as a part-time venture, which quickly grew into a full-time business opportunity by God’s provision. We are now a full-time taxidermy studio with extensive experience and knowledge in North American, African, and international game.
Located in Clio, Iowa, our mission is to produce lifelike mounts that last. We offer many custom options and poses so you can showcase your trophy exactly how you remember it. Come relive the pursuit at DW Taxidermy today.
The Process
Planning and Preparation
We begin by planning the perfect pose, working with the client to ensure every detail and expression honors your trophy's unique legacy.
Professional Tanning
Using expert techniques, we handle every piece with precision, professional tanning, and anatomical accuracy for long-lasting quality.
Mounting & Finishing
We use quality forms and materials from a variety of suppliers. The final detailing phase brings the piece to life, with meticulous attention to color, texture, and natural realism.
